My L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Review

I used my first BB cream recently, it was L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream. I actually had never heard of BB cream before and I know some of you haven't either so I looked it up; Wikipedia says BB cream is promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product to replace serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder, depending on the desired amount of coverage. Specifically,  L'Oreal says their BB cream hydrates, corrects, evens and perfects. All while transforming to the perfect shade and delivering nutrients to your skin.  L'Oréal Paris Magic BB Cream retails for $10.95 for 1 fl oz. and a little bit really goes a long way so the bottle will last quite a while. It is available in four shades and is sold at food and drug stores nationwide.
  

I have been using it now for about 1 1/2 weeks now and I love the way it feels and looks. It really does even out my skintone and blend perfectly. It has a very lightweight finish witch I really like, you can barely tell you are wearing it and it has no greasy feel.  Now that I know the benefits from using it I will continue to buy it, my skin needs all the help it can get, I have many scars and very dull, uneven tone.

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway

I received a new product from Rubbermaid to try out, it is the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler from their recycling product line. My first thought was, anything that makes recycling easier and more convenient has to be a plus. I was right, I love the way the product fits so easily inside of a cupboard and no one has to see it. It is a 5 gallon bag and can hold up to 36 12-ounce cans. It has a leak-proof liner and is machine washable to make it easier to clean up any spills in it. It has a convenient handle that makes transporting it easier. You can purchase them directly from their website at Rubbermaid.com and at Meijer stores.

I would reccomend this product for sure for anyone who recycles.  Make sure to enter my giveaway if you live in the U.S. or Canada.

Simple Skincare Review

 

 I went to my local Walgreens to ask their beauty adviser about the new Simple product line but, my Walgreens did not have a beauty adviser so I could not complete this part of the review.  A couple weeks later I was sent a free, full size, sample of the Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub from Simple and SheSpeaks. I have used the product about three times now and my daughter has used it a couple as well. We are both very pleased with the results, it leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean and also very smooth.  The Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub reveals brighter and more even textured skin and it has added vitamins: Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E. The exfoliator in it is actually rice granules. Simple products have no dyes, artificial perfumes or harsh irritants therefore it is great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.

 I would recommend the Simple Skincare line to anyone who cares about their skin.

Mmmm Ghirardelli

I received a full size sample of Ghirardelli's Milk & Truffle squares through SheSpeaks. Today I have been curled up on the couch with a blanket and my computer and what better way to enhance it than to open these up and bite into the rich, creamy, chocolate that just melts on your tongue?  I love them, they are just the right blend of milk and dark chocolate. Tide Coldwater

I was recently given a full size bottle of Tide Coldwater Detergent to try from Shespeaks and P&G. I have always been told to get clothes cleaner you have to use hot water and have always thought that was an awful lot of wasted money down the drain. I was excited to receive this product to try because its definitely much easier and quicker to not have to switch from hot to cold and if you are like me you probably forget to switch it sometimes too. 

Tide Coldwater liquid detergent is specifically formulated to help get clothes clean when they are washed in cold water. Switching to washing in cold water is a great way to get all your clothes amazingly clean while also helping to conserve energy and save money on your utility bill. These were all great reasons for me to give it a try, I have used it on about 5 loads so far, whites, lights, and darks, and I have been greatly satisfied with the results. When you have a family to do laundry for the dirty clothes never stop and if you are always using hot water that is a LOT of money! My husband works on Army vehicles and comes home very dirty so I made sure that I tried it on his clothes and the grease and grime came off very well.

So if you are concerned about wasting money and you want fresh and clean clothes everytime I suggest you give Tide Coldwater a try.

New Year, New Beginning

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.  I am excited about the new year because I plan to make a lot of changes in my life; I am quitting smoking, losing weight and I will be starting to exercise regularly, I am very excited for these changes and the most important one I am making is that I will be making my walk with God even stronger. I plan to spend more time in His Word, I am going to read through the Bible completely this year as well, I cannot wait!

Look forward this year and not at the past.

Not Posting

Sorry for the long wait for new posts, it has been hectic with the holidays and we went home to visit family in Michigan as well. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and safe New Year. I feel like 2012 is really gonna be a year of change for me; I plan to quit smoking, and lose some weight but more than just losing weight I really want to get in the habit of exercising regularly, I need to get myself healthy. With that I want to wish you all a wonderful New Year!

NYC New York Color

I received a full size sample of New York Color Liquid Lip Shine to try out in my Voxbox from www.influenster.com, which is a great program that offers some amazing products to review. I received the perfect color for me which is a nude color like I usually wear. I love it! This is one of the first lip shine products I have tried that wasn't all sticky and gooey on my lips.  I have used it alone and also on top of my favorite lip color and it stays shiny for a long time. It contains vitamin E which is very moisturizing and it is a great value selling for around $2.49. Liquid Lip Shine comes in 10 shades from neutral nude, to berries and fuchsias. Prosperity

A godly life brings huge profits to people who are content with what they have. We didn't bring anything into the world, and we can't take anything out of it. As long as we have food and clothes, we should be satisfied. But people who want to get rich keep falling into temptation. They are trapped by many stupid and harmful desires which drown them in destruction and ruin. Certainly, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. The world stresses the importance of material possessions; God does not. The world offers the promise of happiness through wealth and public acclaim; God offers the promise of peace through His Son.

As I watch the news and see the greed that was shown this past weekend at the busiest shopping time of the year I can only shake my head at it all. A man punched a woman in the face, a woman maced a bunch of people, and much more.  Where is the love of Christ in all that, how can people forget what is important about Christmas? It truly breaks my heart.

I have yet to start my Christmas shopping for my daughters and see no time in the near future that I will be able to afford to but, I know that gifts are not the most important part of Christmas, Christ is first and then being with family is second. I wish more people understood this. I am proud to say that even though my daughters may long for material things for Christmas they know its ok if they don't get them, they know they have God in their hearts and helping others is more important to them.

I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving full of great food and family time. We aren't doing much, just a small dinner at home, our family lives in Michigan which is quite a ways from us but we get to go home and spend Christmas with them and for that I am thankful.

Be Thankful Always, No Matter What

Yesterday was the anniversary of my mother's (Linda Jo Scott) death and it is just a really hard time for me and my family right now. I have really been very negative and thinking things like "what do I have to be thankful for".  I don't want to think like that it just happens.   Well today I went to my Sunday School class at Church and the topic was "Being Thankful", I really listened and took it to heart, no matter what we always have God to be thankful for. 

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.   1 Thessalonians 5:18                                    

This really made me get to thinking, how many people in this world don't have the things we have and take for granted? Some don't have running water, food to eat, a place to lay their head at night, and much more. It really made me tell myself "Stop feeling sorry for yourself and be glad for the love of a forgiving God and all the things you have". At the end of the day I really feel so much better about everything, I will always miss my mom and the hurt will not go away but, I can get past it and be strong in the faith I have.

A Mother's Love

Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Few things in life are as precious or as enduring as a mother's love. Our mothers give us life, and they  care for us. They nurture us when we are sick and encourage us when we're brokenhearted. Indeed, a mother's love is both powerful and priceless.

Christ showed His love for us on the cross, and , as Christians, we are called upon to return Christ's love by sharing it. Sometimes love is easy (puppies and sleeping children come to mind), and sometimes love is hard (fallible human beings come to mind). But God's Word is clear: We are to love our families and our neighbors without reservation or condition.

As a caring mother, you are not only shaping the lives of your loved ones; you are also, in a very real sense, reshaping eternity. It's a big job, a job so big, in fact, that God saw fit to entrust it to some of the most important people in His kingdom: loving moms like you.

The things we learn from our mothers are forever in our hearts, my mother passed away a year ago this month but I will always remember all the important life lessons she taught me and I can rejoice knowing she is in Heaven with all the other angels.

Friday At Last

So glad it is Friday, this has been a long, trying, week.  I need to ask for prayers for a family friend (Lisa Williams) they found a lump on her breast and she is waiting for results of the biopsy.  Please just keep her and her family in her prayers as you go about your weekend.
